Kero Kero... Kero Kero...
Take a couple of hours off from reality and step into the weirdly wonderful world of Paco's Magical Picture Book.
It was sad that i started watching the movie with the idea of ohhh this will be wonderful... somehow i was disappointed at first... expecting...end expecting for the colorful world to turn into one happy magic place. You know what... it's all not how it seems. But it is beautiful and wonderful in it's own way. The ugly things don't always have to happen in the dark allies they can happen in a hospital full of strange patients and even stranger doctor...
I don't want to say anything bad about the movie, because you know once you get over the introduction and step on to the second half of the movie it just becomes a beautiful chaos of reality and fantasy. And it's so much fun!
The set is beautiful and colorful and somehow the setting makes it seem more of a play than a movie. It gives the whole movie a bit of a surreal feel.
The director of the movie is Nakashima Tetsuya the same person who brought us the wonderful movie Kamikaze girls
, Tsuchiya Anna
from there also has a role in this movie. Tsumabuki Satoshi
again transforms into another unrecognizable character here (took me a while to realize it's actually him), playing a down on luck former child star. Kamikawa Takaya
takes on the role of the nutty doctor of the hospital... or was it peter pan? hmmm... but you might know him as the doctor in Hana Kimi.
This is for those who like the sparkly but are not afraid of more serious themes... with a touch of extreme silliness.
Kero Kero.. Kero Kero..
